Se oprește și al doilea reactor nuclear de la Cernavodă din cauza debitului redus al Dunării
Due to unfavorable hydrological conditions on the Danube, Unit 2 of the Cernavodă NPP will be shut down tomorrow, July 30, at 10:00 AM. The Ministry of Economy assures that electricity supply for consumers will remain unaffected. Authorities will implement necessary measures to ensure the stability and safety of the National Energy System. The two units at Cernavodă typically provide about 20% of Romania's electricity production. Unit 1 was also shut down earlier due to unprecedented low water levels caused by severe drought, following procedures for such situations. Nuclearelectrica is closely monitoring the Danube's water levels to ensure safe operations.
