Alexandru Hazem Kansou, the city manager of Sector 4, stated that banning apartment boilers is not feasible without an efficient heating system. Many residents have disconnected from the public heating system due to lack of hot water. He emphasized that current legislation allows for individual boilers, and many new buildings are not connected to public heating. Kansou noted that while banning boilers is possible, it won't be effective without a sustainable heating solution. Andrei Corlan from the National Environmental Guard mentioned that the decision to ban apartment boilers lies with local authorities, citing examples of cities that have already implemented such bans.
