Transelectrica is expanding its electricity transport network to accommodate the increasing production of renewable energy and storage capabilities. The company is developing several projects, particularly in Dobrogea, to enhance energy transport from production sites to consumption areas. Romania's existing 9,000 kilometers of electric lines require additional projects to manage new energy flows effectively. Key projects include new high-voltage lines to improve the integration of renewable sources and enhance interconnections with neighboring countries. These developments aim to stabilize the national energy system and reduce network congestion.
