The Comarnic Bypass officially opens today, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion on DN1. This six-kilometer road will connect to DN1 via two roundabouts, featuring several bridges and a 380-meter overpass. Although construction began in 2023, it was completed later than planned. The opening will be tested by drivers who frequently face long delays on weekends. Additional passages are also being prepared on DN1 to further improve traffic flow towards Valea Prahovei.
