A new highway is being constructed to connect Romania with Bulgaria and Greece, enhancing travel efficiency. Bulgaria has started building the Ruse–Veliko Târnovo highway, which spans nearly 133 kilometers. This route will begin in Ruse, near a future bridge over the Danube, and extend to Debeleț. The project aims to provide a faster link between the three countries, improving access from northeastern Europe to the Mediterranean Sea.
