The Italian-Romanian construction partnership (Webuild - Tancrad) has commenced asphalt work on an experimental section of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway, specifically between Cornetu and Tigveni. This operation is crucial for determining the final asphalt mix for the entire section 3 of the highway, which spans 37.4 km. Currently, work is ongoing on about 30% of the site, with the physical progress of the project reaching approximately 18%. The contract for this section is valued at 5.323 billion lei and is funded through the Transport Program.
