The Tigveni–Curtea de Argeș section of the A1 motorway is nearing completion, with new impressive images shared online. The project, which includes Romania's first bored tunnel, is expected to be inaugurated earlier than planned, possibly in October 2026. The section spans 9.86 kilometers and is being constructed by PORR Construct SRL, with a total contract value of 1.678 billion lei. Although the official deadline for opening is set for 2027, the current progress suggests an earlier completion. This segment is crucial for connecting Transylvania with southern Romania.
