Fuel prices continue to rise for the fifth consecutive day, with diesel nearing 11 lei per liter and gasoline approaching 10 lei. Despite a reduced excise tax, the increases persist, with current prices at 9.99 lei for gasoline and 10.88 lei for diesel. The Finance Minister announced the extension of the dynamic excise mechanism, yet the impact is minimal due to ongoing price hikes. Compared to last year, prices have significantly increased, with gasoline at 7.60 lei and diesel at 7.80 lei in September 2022.
