Fuel prices in Romania increased again on September 11, with both gasoline and diesel becoming more expensive. The hikes follow previous increases just two days earlier, bringing gasoline close to 10 lei per liter and diesel over 10.4 lei per liter. OMV initiated the price rise by adding 9 bani per liter for both fuels. Other chains soon followed suit. The cheapest gasoline is found at Petrom and Socar at 9.91 lei per liter, while the most expensive is at MOL, OMV, and Rompetrol at 9.97 lei. Diesel prices range from 10.37 lei at Petrom and Socar to 10.44 lei at Lukoil. The price increases are attributed to high petroleum product quotations.
