Several airlines operating at Craiova Airport have canceled flights due to rising fuel prices and declining passenger numbers. Wizz Air will permanently withdraw routes to Istanbul and Prague starting October 22 and 24, following temporary suspensions of other routes. The airport director noted a reduction in aircraft at the Iași base, with only three remaining for the winter season. AnimaWings, currently in insolvency, has also canceled flights to Bucharest. The Iași Airport management plans to take legal action to recover outstanding debts from AnimaWings.
