Scufundarea barjelor pe brațul Bala începe în această seară. Primele două se îndreaptă spre locul operaţiunii
The sinking operation of barges on the Bala arm of the Danube is set to begin tonight after delays. The first two barges will be deployed approximately 500 meters from the entrance, with the process expected to take three to four hours. The remaining two will be sunk tomorrow, 300 meters away. The director of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant indicated that Reactor 2 may need to be shut down in five to six days unless the barge operations are successful. Recent dredging and rock removal have provided additional operational days for the reactor. However, bureaucratic issues and the need for sufficient materials have caused delays in the operation. Without the barge installation, the reactor's operation could be significantly impacted, leading to a potential 10% reduction in Romania's energy production.
