According to Novaia Gazeta Europe, Putin's United Russia party received a significantly lower score in the recent elections than officially reported. The independent publication used a method developed by physicist Sergei Shpilkin to estimate the actual vote share based on statistical analysis of voting patterns. The results indicated that the party's true support was around 34%, contrasting with the official claim of 57.83%. This discrepancy suggests potential electoral fraud, as confirmed by two electoral experts. Officially, United Russia is projected to secure 355 seats in the Duma, maintaining a constitutional majority, while other parties also gained representation.
