The Neamț County Emergency Committee has approved urgent measures to ensure potable and sanitary water in schools affected by drought and supply issues before the new school year. The decision, made on September 2, addresses critical water shortages due to prolonged drought and network failures. Schools in Târgu Neamț and surrounding areas will receive water starting September 7, 2026, with responsibilities assigned to school directors and mayors. Additionally, water tanks will be installed in schools lacking continuous supply, and the local emergency services will facilitate the transport of sanitary water as needed.
