In 2026, Sadu commune will celebrate the "Year of Light" with cultural and scientific events marking the local energy history. Mayor Valentin Ivan announced plans for various activities, including a Christmas event and a traditional lighting ceremony. The commune has also completed significant projects under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, totaling over 11.8 million lei for building rehabilitations, including the town hall and library. A notable project is the renovation of the historic Samuel Micu School, which will welcome students back after extensive upgrades. The local administration is also pursuing a photovoltaic energy project.
