Schimbările vocii ar putea fi un semn timpuriu al demenței. Ce au descoperit cercetătorii

A recent study from Drexel University suggests that changes in voice quality may indicate a higher risk of cognitive decline or dementia. Analyzing data from over 833,000 individuals aged 50 and older, researchers found that those with voice disorders had a significantly increased risk of developing cognitive issues. The strongest association was noted in patients with both voice disorders and hearing loss. While the study highlights a correlation, it does not establish causation, indicating that voice changes alone do not guarantee cognitive decline. The findings suggest that voice quality changes could serve as an additional indicator for cognitive health, warranting further investigation.
