Schimbări majore de taxe în Republica Moldova: TVA pentru comenzile online sub 150 de euro, accize pe zahăr și TVA crescut în HoReCa / ”Încercăm să susținem munca, investițiile și să taxăm mai mult viciile”

The Parliament of Moldova has voted in the first reading on a tax and customs legislation simplification bill. The proposed changes include increasing personal exemptions, modifying VAT and excise rates, and new income tax rules. The Finance Minister, Victoria Belous, emphasized that these measures aim to support work and investments while taxing vices more heavily. Opposition members criticized the bill, claiming it would lead to the largest tax increase in Moldova's history, potentially raising inflation and poverty levels. The bill also introduces a tax on imported goods and adjusts tax rates for various sectors, with a projected budget impact of 5.1 billion lei. The second reading is forthcoming.
