Schimbare pentru șoferii care merg în Croația

Romanian drivers traveling to Croatia will encounter a new electronic toll system starting in 2026, eliminating traditional barriers. The Free Flow system allows vehicles to pass without stopping, with payments made via license plate recognition or electronic devices. This change aims to ease traffic during tourist seasons and will be fully operational by March 2027. Drivers must register their vehicles or use electronic tags to avoid penalties. The modernization involves over 160 million euros in investments, partly funded by EU recovery funds.
