Eighth-grade students will face two exams at the end of the 2026-2027 school year, with the Ministry of Education preparing the methodology and calendar for high school admission. The interim Minister of Education, Mihai Dimian, announced the initiation of procedures for establishing rules for these exams. A proposed law to exempt terminal students from the high school admission exam was not adopted by Parliament, causing delays. The Ministry must adhere to current laws until any changes are enacted. Discussions on the revised methodology and admission calendar will take place soon, affecting students completing their studies in 2026-2027.
