Schimbare majoră la ATM-urile din România: Apare o nouă regulă la retragerea banilor

The Romanian Senate has approved a legislative proposal requiring ATM operators to allow users to withdraw a personalized amount of cash. This decision received significant support, with 96 votes in favor. The law mandates that payment service providers must offer this option regardless of whether the ATM is operated by the card issuer or a cash withdrawal service provider. The new rule aims to ensure equal treatment for all card users in Romania, addressing existing limitations that often force users to select from preset withdrawal amounts. Violations of this obligation can result in fines ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 lei. The proposal will now be debated by the Chamber of Deputies, which is the final decision-making body.
