Schaeffler plans to invest around 9 million lei in a photovoltaic plant to produce electricity for its factory's self-consumption. The project includes 2,328 solar panels with a production capacity of nearly 1.5 MWp, aiming to enhance renewable energy use and reduce carbon footprint. The plant is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and will generate approximately 1,578 MWh of electricity in its first year, with 98% for internal use. Over 20 years, it is projected to produce nearly 30,000 MWh and reduce CO₂ emissions by over 18,000 tons. This initiative aligns with Schaeffler's broader strategy for decarbonization and energy efficiency.
