The Danube River currently has a flow of 1650 m³/s, significantly below the July average, and is expected to decrease further in August. Restrictions on water use for irrigation are in place due to severe drought conditions. The situation mirrors that of 2005, with forecasts indicating flows may drop to around 1500 m³/s by early August. Despite some expected rainfall in Austria, it will not significantly affect the Romanian sector's water levels. Algal blooms are being monitored closely, and while drought persists in vulnerable regions, there are no restrictions on water supply for the population.
