During the World Rowing Shanghai Sprints, Romanian rower Claudiu Neamțu proposed to his partner Cristina Drugă after the Mix8+ final. The event was emotional and celebrated by the Romanian Rowing Federation. Both athletes, aged 24, have been together since 2019. The competition showcased a new format with 500-meter sprint races in Shanghai, featuring 88 top rowers from around the world. In terms of performance, the Romanian team secured notable placements, including a second place in the Mix8+ final. The event aims to establish a new tradition in international rowing.
