The National Office for Gambling (ONJN) has implemented measures to address deficiencies identified by the Court of Accounts for 2024, including audits and monitoring of online operators. The president of ONJN confirmed that corrective actions are underway and that a follow-up report from the Court will validate these efforts. The ONJN is also focusing on recovering unpaid taxes and combating illegal gambling sites, having blacklisted over 1,100 websites. Additionally, a national program for addiction prevention has been launched, with funding of 5 million euros. The ONJN is working on a digital self-exclusion system, pending legislative changes.
