This incident occurred on October 14, 2026, when the men ignored police instructions and became aggressive. They were subsequently detained by gendarmes. Earlier, on October 13, several individuals were also restrained for trying to cut in line to access the relics, resulting in fines totaling 900 lei. The Gendarmerie emphasized the importance of following security protocols to ensure the safety of all participants during the pilgrimage, which runs from October 8 to 15, 2026.
