A significant incident occurred during the pilgrimage of Saint Parascheva in Iași, where some individuals attempted to skip the queue, leading to clashes with the gendarmes. The altercation happened around 7 PM when a group tried to bypass the waiting line to reach the relics faster. Gendarmes intervened, asking them to return to their place in line, but the individuals refused and caused a disturbance, upsetting those who had been waiting for hours. Ultimately, the gendarmes restrained the offenders, with four individuals fined a total of 900 lei for their actions. The gendarmerie emphasized the importance of following the rules for a safe pilgrimage experience. Over 25,000 pilgrims were in line at the Metropolitan Cathedral, with wait times reaching 15 hours, and real-time updates on the queue's length were available on Google Maps.
