A group of young people transformed the remote village of Coleşti into Romania's first traditional tourist village, starting with homemade products. After moving from urban life, they began selling zacuscă and other delicacies at fairs, which led to the establishment of a restaurant. The initiative aims to preserve local traditions while inviting tourists to experience village life. Over 20 old houses have been restored for accommodation, with six already ready for guests. The project encourages local residents to participate economically, ensuring that tourism does not disrupt daily life. Accommodation prices range from 120 to 350 euros per night, with plans for further development.
