Șase state UE cer o taxă pe profiturile excepționale ale companiilor petroliere

Six EU member states have called for a new tax on oil companies due to soaring profits linked to the Middle East conflict. The finance ministers from Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal, and Spain's economy minister sent a joint letter requesting the issue be added to the agenda for next month's finance ministers' meeting in Dublin. They highlighted the need for discussions on taxing exceptional profits, referencing lessons learned from a similar measure implemented in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Despite these calls, the EU has not indicated plans to impose such a tax.
