Six Romanian citizens are facing trial in Germany for organized burglary, with damages estimated at €250,000. The investigation began after multiple homeowners reported thefts, leading to extensive police raids in March 2026. During these operations, significant amounts of cash, jewelry, luxury cars, and firearms were seized. The suspects allegedly committed the crimes between March 2025 and March 2026, primarily targeting homes in the Wittenberg area and using the A9 highway for escape. All six have been in preventive custody since March 2026, and five have prior convictions for serious property crimes in other European countries.
