Nearly 1,000 kilograms of illegally caught fish were seized in the Po River near Parma, Italy, involving six Romanian individuals. They were arrested for poaching and animal cruelty. The operation took place during Ferragosto, a holiday period, as part of extensive controls by the Carabinieri. The fish were found packed in two Land Rover vehicles and a Fiat Scudo. The authorities confiscated the fish and vehicles, and the suspects were reported to judicial authorities.
