Șase județe din România nu au vaccin împotriva Antraxului
The vaccination campaign against anthrax in animals is facing delays in several regions of the country, with six counties lacking necessary vaccines as of October 9. While 24 counties are actively vaccinating, the delays stem from various issues, including funding shortages and procurement difficulties. Viorel Andronie, president of the Veterinary Medical College, emphasized the need for better planning to avoid administrative delays. Anthrax, caused by Bacillus anthracis, poses serious health risks to both animals and humans, making preventive vaccination crucial. Ensuring timely vaccine availability and coordination of immunization campaigns is essential to mitigate health risks in the livestock sector.
