„Sărăcia invizibilă a clasei medii inferioare”. Clasamentul european în care România ocupă un loc de la coadă
A recent report highlights that around 21% of Romanian households fall below the poverty line after energy bills are paid, indicating a growing energy poverty issue. The study reveals that 37% of Romanians spend over 10% of their monthly budget on energy, the second highest in the EU. This situation is exacerbated by rising energy costs and stagnant wages, particularly affecting rural areas. Experts suggest that addressing energy poverty requires structural policies, including investments in energy efficiency and access to modern technologies. Without these measures, the number of households facing energy poverty is expected to increase significantly in the coming years.
