Artificial intelligence is transforming construction sites with robots performing tasks like wall climbing, plastering, and pipe installation autonomously. At the 24th International Urban Construction Expo in Beijing, nearly 100 exhibitors showcased innovative renovation solutions. Intelligent machines inspect facades, polish walls, and clean drains, often outperforming human workers by up to six times. Each robot has a specific role, such as a wall-climbing robot equipped with dual cameras and radar for detecting structural issues. Other robots efficiently handle finishing tasks, combining functions like sanding and dust collection. The aim is not to replace human workers but to take on dangerous and repetitive tasks, enhancing safety and efficiency on construction sites.
