Current construction is hindered by utility network issues, with tram service potentially resuming by autumn next year. The project involves extensive underground utility upgrades alongside tramway rehabilitation, which complicates progress. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu emphasized the importance of addressing these utility problems to avoid future disruptions. The overall contract for the tramway modernization is valued at 292 million lei, with a 12-month execution period.
