On August 15, 2026, a pilgrimage will take place at the Major Archiepiscopal Sanctuary 'Virgin of the Poor' in Carbunari, organized by the Romanian Greek-Catholic Archdiocese. The event includes a procession, a Divine Liturgy, and a service dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The sanctuary, established in 1937, has a rich history of piety and community gatherings, with significant events occurring annually. It was elevated to the status of Major Archiepiscopal Sanctuary in 2014, and a National Pilgrimage was instituted in 2016.
