DIICOT conducted a raid at a spiritual event in Boșorod, Hunedoara, uncovering high-risk drugs and detaining three individuals. The event, marketed as an Amazonian ceremony, was linked to the consumption of illegal substances. Prosecutors are investigating a Romanian woman and two foreign men for organizing and supplying these drugs. The event aimed to attract participants interested in spiritual practices, with a participation fee that included ceremonies and accommodation. During the raid, authorities seized over 6.6 liters of liquid containing mescaline, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and other drug-related items. Two men were placed in preventive detention, while the woman is under judicial control. This operation is part of a broader effort to combat drug trafficking in Romania.
