However, the real salary index was 97.5%, indicating that salary growth did not keep pace with rising prices. The average gross salary was 9,709 lei, up 1.5% from June 2026. Significant salary increases were noted in legal and accounting activities, as well as in oil and gas extraction. Conversely, declines were observed in tobacco manufacturing and telecommunications, with reductions ranging from 7.5% to 11.5%. In the public sector, slight increases occurred in health and public administration, while education saw a minor decrease.
