Salariul mediu din România a ajuns în august la 5.688 de lei

In August 2026, Romania's average net salary decreased to 5,688 lei, down by 132 lei from July. Year-on-year, it rose by 5.6%, below the inflation rate of 6.2%. The highest salaries were in IT and oil extraction, while the lowest were in other services and aquaculture. The real salary index was 99.5% compared to August 2025. Fluctuations in salaries are influenced by bonuses and production results. Significant declines were noted in various sectors, particularly in vehicle manufacturing and engineering. Conversely, some sectors, like gambling and film production, saw salary increases. Public sector salaries also experienced slight decreases in health, education, and public administration.
