The highest salaries were in IT and oil extraction, while the lowest were in various service sectors. Workers in fishing and aquaculture faced the largest losses in purchasing power, exceeding 22%. Despite nominal salary increases, many employees, including teachers and healthcare workers, experienced real declines in their purchasing power. The overall trend indicates that most Romanians are earning less in real terms compared to the previous year, with significant implications for household consumption and economic stability in the region.
