The new Multi-Purpose Hall in Tulcea, costing around 25 million euros, will be inaugurated on July 31, coinciding with the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket 2026 – Division B. The first match will feature Portugal against the Netherlands. Romania is in Group A with Iceland, Portugal, Azerbaijan, and the Netherlands. The hall includes a main competition area with 4,670 seats, locker rooms, press facilities, and a training court. Although construction began in 2022, the completion date has been pushed to July 2026, marking the fourth deadline for the project.
