Să fii apicultor în România nu mai e o afacere bună. Producția de miere a scăzut cu 50% în 2026, în Occident se alege cea din China
Romania's honey production is projected to be between 10,000 and 15,000 tons this year, significantly lower than usual due to a decrease in bee colonies. Beekeepers face challenges in exporting honey due to low prices and reduced domestic demand. Although the harvested amount could meet local consumption needs, sales are hindered by strict quality requirements and competition from cheaper imports. The situation has worsened since 2022, with exports plummeting as buyers prefer cheaper honey from China and Ukraine. Beekeepers are calling for regulations to be adjusted to reflect current market realities, or risk losing more producers in the industry.
