S&P: Neptun Deep ar putea consolida economia României și reduce dependența de importurile de gaze / Proiectul de 4 miliarde de euro ar urma să înceapă producția în 2027
The Neptun Deep project in the Black Sea is expected to enhance Romania's macroeconomic profile by increasing gas exports and reducing import dependency. Production is set to begin in early 2027, with an investment of around 4 billion euros, potentially positioning Romania as a key gas producer in the EU. S&P Global Ratings highlights that this project could improve Romania's external balance and stimulate industrial activity, despite existing vulnerabilities such as a high current account deficit. The agency anticipates gradual improvements in the current account deficit, while emphasizing that the positive economic effects will unfold over several years.
