The Parliament approved measures to limit fuel price increases, with diesel nearing 10 lei per liter. The new regulations allow authorities to intervene during major market imbalances, including dynamic excise adjustments. The dynamic excise replaces the previously proposed VAT reduction, which was deemed incompatible with European law. The measures aim to maintain affordable diesel prices, potentially reducing excise by up to 68 bani per liter. Additionally, two other projects were passed, including performance bonuses for ANAF and amendments to the Administrative Code.
