Rafa Mir, a Spanish footballer, was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison for sexual assault but is allowed to transfer to Aris Thessaloniki while awaiting appeal. He must report monthly to the Spanish consulate in Greece. Mir's contract with Sevilla runs until June 2027, and he has been ordered to stay 500 meters away from the victim for ten years. Another accused, Pablo Jara, received a two-year sentence for related charges.
