Yehuda Aharon Widawski, the oldest Holocaust survivor in Israel, passed away at 107. Born in Poland, he dedicated his life to preserving Jewish graves. Widawski was born on July 26, 1919, in Turek and later moved to Łódź, where his family ran a textile business. After being forced into the Łódź ghetto, they provided aid to the poor. In 1944, Widawski was deported to Auschwitz, where he lost many family members. He survived the war, returned to Łódź, and later moved to Israel. Widawski spent decades restoring Jewish graves in Poland, identifying over 3,000 burial sites.
