A recent study challenges the stereotype that sexual desire declines with age, revealing that men's libido peaks in their early 40s, while women's peaks in their 20s. The research analyzed data from over 67,000 adults aged 20 to 84, showing that men's sexual desire increases until their 40s and declines gradually thereafter. Interestingly, men in their 60s reported similar levels of desire as those in their 20s. In contrast, women's sexual interest decreases significantly after their 30s and sharply after 50. Factors such as stable relationships and emotional maturity contribute to men's sustained libido, while single women reported higher desire than married ones. The study also found that bisexual individuals exhibited the highest sexual desire.
