S-a redeschis circulația feroviară Galați–Târgu Bujor

Rail traffic between Galați and Târgu Bujor reopened on October 14 after repairs from September 2024 floods caused by storm Boris. The investment totaled nearly 56 million lei, funded by the state budget. Floods affected 11 kilometers of railway, halting operations in 36 areas. The project aimed to restore infrastructure safety for train operations, involving various restoration tasks. The contractor for the modernization was the Arcada Company consortium. Train services were temporarily limited during repairs, with alternative transport provided. The reopening is crucial for restoring rail connectivity for local communities, with ongoing work on the Târgu Bujor–Bârlad section.
