The total alleged damage is around 171,500 lei, involving 109 fraudulent acts. The investigation began in 2022 following a report from a victim who was misled by the accused. Evidence suggests he simulated severe health conditions and created a false narrative of hospitalization. One victim made 103 financial transactions totaling over 132,000 lei, while another provided approximately 38,000 lei. The accused aimed to convince victims of his dire medical needs to obtain financial assistance.
