A car parts factory in Jibou has closed, leading to the layoff of 96 employees. The factory ceased operations on July 30 after 15 years. Initially, 116 employees were notified, but the final number of layoffs was reduced. This marks the second collective dismissal in Sălaj County this year, following a wood processing company closure in April. As of late May, the unemployment rate in Sălaj was 6.37%, with 5,688 registered unemployed individuals.
