Oil companies have identified an alternative route for supplying Romania with crude oil, bypassing Europe and increasing costs significantly. This route involves transporting oil from the Gulf of Finland to Constanța, adding approximately 12,000 kilometers to the journey. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan has resumed loading operations through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, alleviating immediate supply pressures. Former Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan stated that while the alternative route is costly and lengthy, he does not foresee a fuel shortage in Romania, citing sufficient reserves. He confirmed that Romania has about one million tons of reserves, enough for two months.
