Russians voting abroad showed strong support for the "New People" party, contrasting sharply with official results in Russia. Two independent exit polls indicated that "New People" received 43% and 47.3% of votes, while Putin's "United Russia" garnered only 5.5% and 2.8%. The official results reported by the Central Election Commission showed "United Russia" with nearly 58% of the votes. Ivan Jdanov from the Progress project noted a significant discrepancy between the official results and the exit polls, with many voters expressing distrust in the official outcomes. The voting abroad highlighted opposition to the war in Ukraine, influencing many to support "New People."
